PETROGAZ-HAITI, S.A. offers scholarships

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

19 young Haitians received a scholarship in the field of oil industry technical schools in Trinidad and Tobago at the initiative of the oil and Haiti Petrogaz Finance Corporation (PGH). These fellows will receive 19 from 9 months to 1 year of training in mechanical, electrical, industrial and other disciplines related to the petroleum sector plumbing, informed the company officials.

This initiative falls within the framework of the efforts of Petro Gas Haiti to develop the oil industry in Haiti , said the Technical Director of the Company Dieuseul Anglade . According to the former Director of the Office of mines, these 19 youth have benefited from the program in order to address the lack of expertise in the field in Haiti .

Mr. Anglade urged scholars to have exemplary behavior during their stay in Trinidad by acting as ambassadors for the country. He especially emphasized the need for young people to return to Haiti after graduation to put their new knowledge to the service of the nation .

The geologist also made that the PGH and other companies are willing to hire these young people 19 to return to Haiti.

For his part, one of the partners of the program, the Trinidadian geologist Herbert Sukhu Stresses the importance of education in developing countries. According to Mr. Sukhu , Haiti has a lot of resources in the energy sector that this partnership will allow us to further exploit .

The Trinidadian specialist hopes that they return home , these new Haitian oil industry professionals can share with other young new knowledge they acquired during their training.
